  • Cook

  1. Mix together salt, garlic powder, cumin, oregano, coriander, and cinnamon in a bowl. Coat pork with the spice mixture. Place pork in slow cooker. Pour the chicken broth around the sides of the pork. Cover and cook on Low for about 10 hours. Turn the meat after it has cooked for 5 hours. When the pork is tender, remove from slow cooker, and shred with two forks.
  2. In a large stock pot over medium-high heat saute onions, green pepper, and garlic. Add shredded pork and stir for 3 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients and stir until thoroughly heated.

This is the best pork carnita, and to make the left overs into chili is a wonderful idea. So glad I thought of it!
