Festive Food Gifts

This holiday, give creative gifts from your kitchen.

From flavored vinegars and homemade liqueurs to fruitcakes and cookie boxes, there's something here everyone.

Infused Vinegars, Condiments and Flavorings

Flavored vinegars will keep for six months or more.

Home Canning

Marmalades, chutneys, and preserves can be a welcome change from rich sweets.

Hot Drink Mixes

Attractive jars of cocoa mix, hot tea, and coffee drinks, tied with colorful ribbon, are lovely as hostess gifts or tucked into a gift basket or Christmas stocking.

Cookie Mixes in a Jar

Layer the dry ingredients in a one-quart wide-mouth canning jar so each layer has a distinct color and texture. Include the recipe and baking directions on the label or gift tag.

This is nother real good batch of recipes, I did not put them in jars for the cookies and brownies I make them complete and the family liked them. The drinks or pancake waffle mixes I do put in jars or pastic containers and I also want to try some of these new soup recipes as it mostly serves 4 so two meals each for me and my elderly Dad that will be quick to fix and to reheat for next Day.

Love the idea of cookies in a jar. We try not to fall victim to excessive consumerism and this fits the bill. Thanks. I'm not waiting for an occassion - this will be my random act of kindness to pass forward.
