What am I doing wrong? I bake biscuits on parchment paper and the bottoms come out hard. The tops are fluffy,brown and light but I can't master the bottoms. HELP!

The whipping cream pound cake that has been highly complemented gave me a big problem.Follow The Diretions To A Tee the cake rose perfectly in the oven till 10 minutes before final cooking then it colasped completly & broke apart any one have an answer? It happened at 3 diffrent occasions.

3 tablespoons of cocoa and 1 tablespoon of fat equal one square of baking chocolate. I have used oil, butter, margarine or crisco for the fat with similar good results in my favorite brownie recipe.

Hello everyone! I have a bunch of answers for some of you! I will go from the ones first posted all the way to the most recent... First, Kris, if baking powder is asked for in a recipe then YES! The way around it is a mixture of baking soda and cream of tartar. Its an important leavener with a name thats unfortunately close to baking soda. Its fooled the best of us(myself included!). The ingredient substitutions page on the site will give you the ratio. Welmary08- the solid chocolate youre replacing for powder is a bit risky. Are you talking about chocolate chips? If so, no! Unless you have cocoa butter as the fat, it wont taste good. Ive done everything to "stick ot to the man" like make my own yogurt, lotion, among others. Was devastated i couldnt cut out the middle man with my chocolate chip cookie making! Babygirl- 2 cups equals 1 pint Nanasnthakchen-hmmm,have you tried putting the baking sheet, 1 batch at a time, on the highest wrack in the oven? Also, old metal sheets h
