What say you?

To help us celebrate our 10th anniversary, we asked users to tell us about their experience with Allrecipes throughout the years. Here's what some of them shared with us:

Cathy

"Your recipes have elevated my level of expertise with friends and family. I always get requests for recipes or am asked to bring certain "my" dishes to parties. I must admit, 99% of the time I don't reveal that they come from your site--I love the attention. I don't know how I made it without you for so many years. Kudos! Keep up the good work."

    Dorothy

"I seem to be the designated baker for our senior center picnics and parties. Many seniors have asked me for a recipe containing a certain ingredient and I can always get it--it makes me look so clever. We seniors have to get our kicks whenever and wherever we can. Recently, I have started to show the seniors the site so they can explore their own tastes.

Keep up the good work. "

      Stefanie

"Growing up, one of my favorite things to do was to cook with my mom in the kitchen and experiment with new recipes. When I moved out on my own, a way for us to stay connected was to share recipes. I found your Web site and was in heaven with so many to choose from and try, that I constantly share recipes with not only my mom, but also my friends.

I moved to a new state, new job, and new life last year and I found comfort in your Web site. I love to cook and try new recipes, so your Web site helped me feel a lot less stressed as I was starting my new job. Thanks for helping make my transition to my new start in a new town so much better. Your Web site is a great way to connect friends and family, and has been a huge comfort in my life."

        Diane

"All-in-all, your Web site is fantastic. I own several of your cookbooks and have also purchased a couple of your soft-cover, magazine-style cookbooks. I love reading them, then looking up the recipes on your site to see the reviews. My 25-year-old daughter has become a member, and we talk on the phone often about your recipes (she lives 2,000 miles away, sniff). I credit your Web site with creating a real interest in cooking in my daughter; before she joined your site, her specialties were pretty much based on ramen noodles. I thank you for helping my daughter to develop a passion for cooking and bringing us even closer together."

          Michele

"I don't remember how long I've been using your recipes, but at least 6 years. You've helped me keep my job! I cook supper Fridays and Saturdays for 20 monks at a Monastery in Newark, NJ. My boss says "you're making chicken cutlets" or "you're making fish" and from those instructions I need to cook the main course, a potato or pasta dish, a veggie, and the dessert. I have a huge stack of recipes from Allrecipes that I have copied and made. I love it! You have every recipe I've ever needed!

Thanks so much for helping me make so many people happy!"

            Margaret

"For more than 35 years I have collected over 500 cookbooks until I found you! I have kept only the ones that were given to me as gifts and selling them, telling the buyers I no longer needed them because of Allrecipes.com.

I recently volunteered, teaching eight teenagers a one-week, hands-on international cooking class at the Boulder Y.M.C.A. Every single recipe was from Allrecipes. On the last day, the class turned the cafeteria into a French Cafe, serving a buffet brunch to all of their parents. I must tell you that I am not a professional chef, I just have an unbelievable passion for cooking and sharing what I know. The parents said that their children came home every day so excited at what they learned and what they got to cook."

I have a question. I am cooking lunch for a large group of people, I am making bow tie pasta with alfredo sauce and penna pasta with a tomato meat sauce. I don't know how much pasta I need. I am making each recipe for 18 people. How much of each pasta should I cook? Thanks from I need to know Linda
