Here is a simple idea that is absolutely delicious, Use turkey Italian sausage to make burger patties. Grill them over real charcoal briquettes covered in wet hickory chips. These are fantastic!

Every one of these burgers look wonderful!!!! Our neighbor raises a lamb for us each year. Lamb Burgers are wonderful...with Gyros style sauce or any other way. Thanks for giving me a burger repertoire to go to.

Wonderful ideas here! I'd rather eat burgers than any other meat. Try sweet Italian sausage (bulk) with 90-93% lean beef. I like 1/3 sausage and 2/3 beef.

For the best, juiciest bbq burgers, use 80/20 ground chuck, salted liberally. Wet your hands w/water to make loosely packed patties. Also, NEVER EVER press the burgers with your spatula while it's grilling. You'll lose precious juice! Enjoy!

I love burgers...but one thing I do more often is make turkey burgers. I really spicy delicious way I do it is with 1lb. turkey burger, appros. 1TBS paprika (i know it seems like a lot), 1/4 chopped yellow onion, approx. 1TBS black pepper, salt to taste. Fry or grill until done. turning once. top with a sauce mixture of quality french dressing & mayo. YUM!

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers are the best! I've never been a fan of ground turkey, but this recipe made me a true believer. It's also very good cooked as a meatloaf.

I was looking for the best mushroom burger. What kind of mushrooms are best? Thanks

Shitaake mushrooms. Grill seperately on the same grill as your burger patties, but add them to the grill after you flip your burger patty if you like well done burgers or at the same time if you like rare burgers but shrooms cook quick. Douse them with real melted butter before and during cooking. Salt them only after they are grilled as the salt will overpower the flavor and dry them out, IMHO.

A tip I learned Chef Louie who owned the famous Louies' on Lincoln Avenue was to add a bit of water to burgers to keep them juicier,

Adding sauteed or grilled sliced onions in addition to mushrooms and cheese will take them over the edge...

I've always scrambled one egg and then added half of it to one pound of hamburger along with whatever seasoning I've chosen. The burgers are never dry.

Lamb meat is very good and a lamb doesn't yield a lot of meat, so I can see why she has one every year. As a mom of a FFA student who raised beef and know those who raised pigs or lambs, buying one at their sale is a great way to support the student and put good quality meat in your freezer. We have done it with both lamb and pork. I always use a blend from a local owned market here for my burgers. It is 20/80 pork/beef mix and makes the very best juiciest burgers we have had. I once had a chef tell me to put a small piece of ice in the center of the meat when I make them and that does work at keeping them juicy also. I prefer to stuff mine with good stuff, cheese, grilled onion, grilled mushrooms or whatever sounds good to you when you are making them. I always have some frozen so we can just get them out and thaw and grill when we want. I don't like to work with ground meat a lot so when I plan on doing burgers I buy the meat in bulk and do plenty at once and wrap each one t

"Stonewall"'s "tip" up there is absolutely ridiculous. I'm sorry, but cooked hamburger absolutely has flavor; if Stonewall's don't, then Stonewall needs to buy better meat and/or learn how to cook it properly. I'm absolutely stunned that a comment like that would be presented as truth. If cooked hamburger has no flavor, what's the point of a burger at all? Why not just put fixings on a bun?

What they are trying to tell you is that JOYDEE has a lamb raised to slaughter for her burgers. Karma is a b**tch. I'm with you on this one Elsie!

What's with the haters (nicola and elsie). Karma?? What are you doing eating burgers if you have a probem with animals being slaughtered for food? Come on people

Read your Bible. Even Jesus, as a Jew, ate a passover lamb every year. There's no law against it. To each his own.

I feel burger lovers should find ways to cut down on the fat in beef which is bad for your heart. I buy lean top round and add olive oil to keep it moist. Grind it in the food processor. Also add a slice of arnolds stone ground whole wheat bread moistened with milk instead of breadcrumbs.
