Where can I find all of the videos on Allrecipes?

Click on the Videos menu at the top of any page to see all a list of all of video collections broken down by type of video, including Everyday Cooking, Ingredients, Meals and Courses, Holidays and Events, How-To, and all of Allrecipes.com’s web shows.

How does Allrecipes select the videos for each recipe, article, or the homepage?

Allrecipes selects the videos based on how relevant they are to the recipe or article page.

Some recipes and articles do not have videos. Why?

We do not have how-to videos covering all topics. We will continue to expand our collection of videos.

How many videos are associated with each recipe?

It depends on the number of relevant videos available. There might not be any, or have as many as 10.

When I click play, I see an ad, how can I see the video?

The ad will play before the video—once the ad has finished, your video will begin.

The videos won’t play for me. Why?

You might need to update your browser’s version of flash, or you might not have a supported browser. Click here to see a list of supported browsers.

How is the video on the homepage chosen?

Allrecipes has an extensive collection of videos. Daily videos are selected to be relevant, seasonal, and educational.

How do I stop a video from playing once it has started?

Once the video has starting playing, hover your cursor over the video. The video controls will appear. You will be able to stop, pause, adjust volume, view the video full screen, or resume the video.

Why does the video on the homepage play automatically?

We choose a video to highlight every day, which may begin automatically. Use the video controls on the video pane to pause, stop, change the video to full screen and adjust the volume (videos which play automatically will not have sound unless you adjust the volume).

Why doesn’t the video playing on the homepage have sound?

In order to change the sound level of the video, click on the speaker icon on the lower right of the video pane. A control will appear, and you will be able to adjust the sound of the video playing. In order to hear videos, you will also need to ensure your computer volume is turned on via the computer control panel and that your speakers are connected.

How do I share a video on Pinterest?

From any video page, click on the “Pin” icon under the video player to pin to one of your Pinterest boards.

How do I “Like” a video on Facebook?

From any video page, click on the Facebook “Like” icon under the video player to add your Facebook like.

How do I share a video on Google Plus?

From any video page, click on the Google + icon under the video player to share the video on Google Plus.

How do I email a video?

Click on the Email icon under the video. A form will appear. Input your friend’s email, your name as you would like it to appear, and a personal note if you would like.

The email address you enter will not be stored, and will be used only to send the recipe email. For more information regarding our privacy policy, click here.
