What are the benefits of becoming a Supporting Member?
Allrecipes is free. And as a Free Member, you get a lot! But Supporting Members get even more.
Here’s the lineup of cool features:
- Menu Planner. Create a menu for a day, an event, or a whole week or month! Allrecipes has also created more than
1,000 menus, ready for you to use and customize. Menu planner will also build your shopping list and calculate the nutritional information
for Allrecipes and personal menus.
- Custom print options. Choose the recipe card size, background colors, and type size. You can even
add reviews (like how much everyone loved this recipe).
- Recipes your way. Take existing recipes, edit them, and save them as your own. Change ingredients,
modify directions, make notes, and save it.
- Your own blog. Make it personal—and become an Allrecipes celeb when you mix it up and dish it
out online.
- Your own URL. As a Supporting Member, you get your own custom URL to send to family and friends.
Plus, you get a Supporting Member star next to your username!
- Nutrition Search. Search for recipes using Calorie, Fat, Carbohydrate, Protein, Cholesterol, or Sodium criteria.
- Kitchen View. Our Kitchen View lets you see the full recipe on one screen (no more scrolling!), or step-by-step directions in a few easy clicks.
It also includes a built-in timer!
Your photos, your recipes, your blog, your own address. That’s what Supporting Membership is all about.
For a small price, you can become a Supporting Member.
I want to be a Supporting Member! What are my options?
Supporting Members get more! You can
sign up for the membership
that fits your needs!
What happens when my Supporting Membership expires?
Supporting Memberships are set to automatically renew for the length of time originally purchased
(i.e. if you purchased a six-month membership, you will be automatically renewed every six months). In
order to continue enjoying your membership features uninterrupted, you don’t have to do a thing.
If you’d prefer to manually renew, it’s easy to turn off auto-renew in your Account
Settings—do it now.
Note: If you received a Supporting Membership as a gift, your Membership will not
automatically renew, but purchasing one is simple enough—do it now.
Want to see when your membership expires and/or view your Account Settings? You can
do that here
(you must be logged in to view this page).
How do I get FREE Newsletters and Email Alerts?
As a member of Allrecipes, you get FREE access to our newsletters and email alerts (such as when new
recipes are published on the site). Click here
to join the Allrecipes Community. Then follow the easy prompts to set up your membership and select the
newsletters and/or email alerts you want. You have total control: get them all, pick and choose, or receive
none. You’re in total control and at any time, you can change your preferences.
How often will I get Allrecipes emails?
You decide! If you sign up to receive email alerts, you’ll find them in your mailbox based on the
frequency you requested—either daily or weekly. But don’t be alarmed if you don’t get a
scheduled alert—it just might be there are no new bread or low-carb recipe submissions
(or whatever cooking topics you signed up for). That means you’ll get emails up to once a
day—or up to once a week—depending on the frequency you choose. Don’t forget you can
change your preferences at any time. Just go to the
manage email page.
How do I open my Recipe Box?
You can access your Recipe Box from any page. First you need to sign in (look for the link located in the top right corner).
Then just click on the My Allrecipes menu below your username and profile image (you will only have a profile image if
you have uploaded one to the site, otherwise you see an orange image that says Add a Photo), and then click on the Recipe
Box link. You can also click on the Recipe Box tab located just below the My Allrecipes menu, and then on
View All My Recipes.
Can Allrecipes remember me from visit to visit?
Yes! Your Recipe Box can remember your login information. To do this, your computer must be set to
allow cookies from Allrecipes.
To have Allrecipes remember you, click on the Remember Me box below the login field.
Oh no! I forgot my login information! What do I do?
Don’t worry. It happens all the time. If you forget your login information, just click on
Forgot?
in the Sign In area at top right corner of any page. Enter your email address into the box
provided and click on Send Me My Info. Your login information will be sent automatically (and
confidentially) to that address. If you don’t remember the email address associated with your
membership, contact us at Customer Service.
How do I change my email address?
You can change your email address by following the Account link on the My Allrecipes homepage,
or by clicking here.
How do I change my display name?
It’s easy! In fact, you can change your display name, password, and other account information by
first logging in, then clicking on the My Allrecipes menu in the top right corner of the page.
This will take you to the My Allrecipes homepage where you can click on the Account link at the
top of the page. When you’re done, be sure to click the Save Changes button.
What’s the difference between User Name and Display Name?
Your User Name is for login purposes only and is not displayed on the site anywhere. Your Display Name
is what will appear to the Allrecipes community on any content you have created, including recipes,
reviews, Recipe Buzz posts, and on your profile page.
Should I use User Name or Email to log into the site?
It depends on when you became an Allrecipes member. If you have signed in with a User Name in the past you can continue to do so.
If you joined the site after early 2009, you will need to use your email address to log in. If you aren’t sure or forgot your login info,
you can always click on forgot? in the Sign In area at top right corner of any page. Enter your email address into
the box provided and click on Send Me My Info.
