Kit Chili With Beans2


These chili kits are readily available in supermarkets, have quality spices and will make great chili. However, you can make even better chili with them. Chili needs grease for best flavor, is beast cooked uncovered, and improves with rest and reheating.

  1. Drain and thoroughly rinse the beans. The water should run clear when you rinse them. Set aside.
  2. In a dutch oven or large pot, brown the beef. DO NOT DRAIN.
  3. Add the water, kit spices, tomatoes, onion, cumin and garlic, and bring to low heat.
  4. Simmer for at least one hour UNCOVERED, stirring occasionally and adding additional water to maintain desired consistency.
  5. Remove from heat, let cool and store in refrigerator overnight. Reheat and serve.
