Bacon Hot Sauce


Made from habenero, jalapeno chile peppers, this is some of the hottest hot sauce you'll ever try. Of course, bacon makes it better, just like on all foods.

  1. In a large skillet, cook the bacon. Remove from heat, and reserve bacon grease.
  2. In a large sauce pan over medium-high heat, combine oil, bacon grease, peppers, garlic, onion, and salt; cook for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  3. Pour in water, and cook for 20 minutes, or until the ingredients are soft. Stir frequently. Remove from heat, and allow mixture to cool to room temperature.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a blender, and puree until smooth. Pour in vinegar and blend until mixed. Use leftover Salsa Brava bottles or glass ketchup bottles for storage. Keep refrigerated.
