In a hot skillet,saute mushrooms and onion in olive oil on medium-high for 5 minutes.Remove mushrooms. Add garlic and saute one more minute. Add tomatoe paste and saute til slightly browned. Stir in tomatoes and broth. Remove from heat.
Place mixture in blender and blend until the desired level of chunkiness is achieved. Return to medium-low heat.Add ground beef and mushrooms. Add sugar to taste Cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
