Combine flour, baking powder, brown sugar,cinnamon and salt in a large bowl. Mix in the smashed bananas until the texture resembles cornmeal. Add milk and vanilla; stir just until blended. Stir in the pecans/walnut of your choice.
Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat, and coat with cooking spray. Spoon batter onto the skillet, using 3-4 tablespoons for small pancakes. Cook until pancakes are golden brown on both sides; serve hot.
Mix cinnamon and syrup until mixed well. Add chopped pecans/walnut and serve warm.
