  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and add the chicken consommé and the green beans. Parboil for 3 - 5 mins so the beans are still firm and crunchy. Drain, then transfer to a large skillet. Add the butter and the garlic and cook to desired tenderness on med/high heat. We prefer ours al dente
