In a small mixing bowl add 1 cup of the flour, egg, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir in 1 cup beer (you can add more than one cup to obtain your desired texture).
Cut Onions to form rings. Slice celery in half length wize and then into bite size. Place the rest of the flour in a pie plate. Dip veggies in the flour and then into beer batter. Fry in oil until golden brown. Serve with my Blue Cheese Queso or Ranch Dip.
