Beef Teriyaki

Simple beef teriyaki with quickly-browned beef sirloin strips and broccoli florets; simmered in a thick soy sauce and brown sugar sauce, seasoned with garlic powder. Served over rice.

  1. Place beef, 1/4 c. teryaki, minced ginger and 1 tsp. garlic into a plastic ziploc and marinate for 2-24 hours.
  2. Cook rice according to package directions.
  3. Meanwhile, combine the cornstarch, broth, soy sauce, 1/2 cup teryaki sauce, crushed red pepper, sugar, garlic and garlic powder. Mix thoroughly.
  4. In a large skillet, over medium high heat, saute the beef strips in oil until browned and juices evaporate.
  5. Stir broccoli, carrots and cornstarch mixture into meat.
  6. Cook until mixture boils and thickens, stirring frequently.
  7. Serve over the cooked rice.
