Jumbo pasta shells stuffed with a rich, spicy blend of taco meat.

Original recipe yields 6 servings

  1. In a large skillet, brown beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Add taco seasoning and water and simmer for 5 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 9 minutes; drain and rinse with cold water.
  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees, and spray a 9x13 baking dish with butter-flavored Pam.
  4. Fill shells with beef mixture and arrange in the greased baking dish; spoon taco sauce over shells. Cover with foil and bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  5. Remove dish from oven and top with cheese and tortilla chips; return dish to oven to cook for 10 minutes more.
  6. Top with sour cream and green onions, if desired.

Tasty, not spectacular, but Brady loved it and it's good for something a little different. Would probably be even better with spicy taco seasoning or spicy taco sauce when the kids get older.
