Asian Sesame Seared Tuna

Asian Sesame Seared Tuna

This is a combination of two fabulous marinades. My kids absolutely love it and ask for me to make it all the time! And, just by using a Gluten Free soy sauce, the entire recipe is gluten free!!

  1. In a small bowl, stir together all of the marinade ingredients. Marinate tuna steaks in marinade in refrigerator for at least an hour.
  2. Spread the sesame seeds out on a plate. Then press tuna into the sesame seeds to coat.
  3. Heat olive oil in a cast iron skillet over high heat until very hot. Place steaks in the pan, and sear for about 30 seconds on each side. Serve with the dipping sauce and wasabi paste.
  4. Grilling Option: do not coat with sesame seeds! Spray grill with non-stick Cooking spray for Grills. Heat grill until very hot. Grill tuna on each side for 2 minutes (for medium rare)
  5. Serve with rice or your favorite side
