Easy Cheesy Meatloaf

No-fail meatloaf calls for ground beef, onions, egg, cheese and oats. It is topped with ketchup before baking. Makes a very moist meatloaf with lots of flavor and good for those with health issues with sugar, milk or gluten.

Original recipe yields 8 servings

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the beef, egg, onion, and oats. Season with salt and pepper to taste and place half of the meat mixture in a lightly greased 5x9 inch loaf pan. Sprinkle with the cheese and layer the remaining meat on top.
  3. Pour ketchup over the meatloaf.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 1 hour.
  5. Note: if the sausage is fatty enough there is no need to grease the pan.
