While bringing large pot of lightly salted water to rolling boil, chop bacon and onion. Pan fry bacon in its own fat (2-3 min), add onion, cook until translucent.
As the water boils, blanch veggies (2-3 mins, a little longer if frozen). Strain out of the water and add veggies to pan (garbanzo beans too if using them), stir to coat with bacon flavor and heat through (taste and season w/ salt as needed). Remove from heat.
Add pasta to water when it returns to a boil and cook until al dente, 8 to 10 minutes.
Sprinkle basil onto individual servings; season to taste with salt and pepper, and top with crumbled feta.
