Let your slow cooker do most of the work of bringing this French-inspired chicken, white bean, and chicken sausage stew to your table. Be sure to pick up a loaf of crusty bread to sop up the goodness.

  1. Stir together the onion, garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, cannellini beans, and chicken sausage in a large bowl. Pour the mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker, and pour the broth over all the ingredients. Cover, set the cooker to Low, and cook until the cassoulet is thickened, 6 to 7 hours.

I tweaked this. Used picked rotisserie chicken and bulk chicken sausage and chicken broth instead of wine. Added chicken about an hour before done and cooked till thickened.
