  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C.)
  2. In a large bowl, cream margarine and sugar. Beat in flour and salt. Blend in the eggs. Stir in the buttermilk and vanilla. Pour into pie shell.
  3. Put pie in oven and turn down to 350 let cook for 40 min then put foil on top and let cook 20 min more. Once you shake the pan and it shakes like jello remove from the oven.
