Cream Cheese Crust


This easy-to-make crust can make your favorite apple pie taste even more sensational. Cream cheese, flour, and butter are mixed together into a dough, rolled out between sheets of waxed paper, and plopped into a 9-inch pie tin.

  1. Whisk together flour, sugar and salt.
  2. Soften cream cheese and butter and mix together incorporating flour mixture a little at a time.
  3. Once dough is formed, place between 2 pieces of plastic wrap and form a disc. Chill for at least 1/2 hour.
  4. Roll out with a rolling pin between 2 wax papers. Transfer to a 9-inch pie plate and prick with fork before half-baking to prevent shrinkage. Bake for about 10 minutes at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
