Not your average baked beans! This recipe combines pinto, northern, baked, and kidney beans with onion and garlic in a tangy, sweet sauce. Try this for a break from the ordinary. Doubled the pinto beans and omitted bacon and garbanzo beans from original recipe.

  1. 1. Cook the onion and garlic in a little bit of the oil of your choice,
  2. 2. To the onions, add pinto beans, northern beans, baked beans, kidney beans. Stir in ketchup, molasses, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and black pepper.
  3. 3. Stir in pot frequently until it starts to bubble, then cook an additional 2-3 minutes.


This recipe is absolutely fabulous. I omitted the bacon and the garbanzo beans (since garbanzo beans just don't seem right in baked beans) and doubled the pinto beans to compensate. I've made ...
