Nan's Applesauce Bread

You 'll get two loaves of delicious bread made moist with applesauce, and sour cream. I cut back on the sugar and oil from the original recipe. I also added some fresh nutmeg, vanilla and salt. (Salt is a must). This freezes great also.

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 9 x 5 inch loaf pans.
  2. Beat together eggs, sugar, and oil. Blend in applesauce, vanilla and then sour cream. Mix in flour, baking powder, soda, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon. Stir in raisins. Pour batter into prepared pans.
  3. Bake for 80 minutes. Cool on wire racks.
