Excellent bread for soups, etc! Fragrant with Rosemary and other Italian spices.

Original recipe yields 12 servings

  1. Combine yeast w/warm water and sugar until foamy. Add seasonings (fresh rosemary, italian seasoning) and 1 cup of flour to mixed with dough hook attachment. Mix/knead with mixer, adding flour 1/4 cup at a time until pulls away from bowl and reaches smooth consistency (8-10min). Cover in oiled bowl and let rise 45mins or until doubled. Punch down and form into loaf on baking stone. Let rise another 30-45 min or until doubled again. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 20 mins, increase temp to 425 and bake another 10 min.

Very good recipe! I unknowingly used whole wheat bread flour and it turned out very well. Next time will use regular bread flour. Loved the taste!
