This is a super easy recipe to throw together and, with the addition of different vegetables, can make lots of variations.

  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain and reserve.
  2. In a large skillet, heat oil and sausage, onion & garlic; cook through until no longer pink. Add broth, basil and tomatoes with liquid.
  3. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes to slightly reduce. Add brocolli; cover skillet and simmer on reduced heat until brocolli is tender.
  4. Add pasta to skillet and mix together. Sprinkle with cheese and serve immediately.


I liked this variation of the recipe because I was using turkey sausage, too. I used whole wheat farfelle pasta. The sausage I fried up and added garlic and my own special spice mixture. I didn'...
