  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the hashbrowns, cheese, sour cream, onion and soup.
  3. Spread mixture in 9x13 casserole dish.
  4. Mix cornflakes with butter, garlic powder and salt and evenly distribute over potato mixture.
  5. Cover with foil.
  6. Bake at 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) for 1 hour.
  7. Take off foil and bake for another 20 mins or until cornflakes become golden brown.
