Pot Stickers Traditional

This traditional recipe is from the area of Northern China. Wonton wrappers are stuffed with finely chopped vegetables and pork, then fried and served with a spicy dipping sauce.

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together all the other ingredients
  2. Place a tablespoon of the pork mixture into each of the wonton wrappers. Fold the wrappers, and seal the edges.
  3. In a hot saute pan coated well with oil place pot stickers flat side down and cook until the bottom is browed. Cover and add 1 cup water/chicken stock for about 5 min. Be careful, liquid will splatter. bottoms will crisp up again as stock evaporates
  4. In a small serving bowl, mix together dipping sauce ingredients.

loved this. I also made adding 1/2 lb diced shrimp and it was super yummy. I made a bunch and froze, too, for those midnight snacks :-)
