Mushroom Stuffed Beef Rouladen

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2011
The flavor seemed bland but that was probably my fault when I accidentally used red wine vinegar intstead of just red wine :) but I definitely want to try again to be sure. The meat reminded me of solid ground beef instead of steak. Maybe I over pounded it?

I liked it and Steve didnt try it. So maybe a smaller side dish would be best.

We loved this!!! I only used one onion ( I thought 2 would be too much. It was so good. Served with noodles. Next time I'll try rice. Thanks for this recipe.

Irresistible Irish Soda Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2011
This was a very easy and delicious recipe. I used the irish soda bread in the Irish Breakfast recipe. I also used 2 teaspoons of caraway seeds and a 1 cup of raisins suggested by other reviews for the bread. The raisins and caraway seeds really go good together with a unique taste I haven't had before.

Fresh Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2011
I saw this recipe in my allrecipes newsletter and looked at the bag of broccoli & cauliflower florets I had just purchased and realized hey, I can make it with broccoli & cauliflower! I used rice wine vinegar, reduced the sugar to 1/4 cup added dried cherries instead of raisins and wanted to use sunflower seeds but only had sliced almonds. DH & DD loved the salad. I prefer rice wine vinegar because it is not so vinegar sour and probably has more sugar. Next time I will try 1-2 Tbls. instead of by cup standard. The dried cherries gave it lots of sweetness too. THIS RECIPE IS A KEEPER!

Best Ever Pie Crust

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2011
I'll be the 1st to admit I'm not the best pie baker and I've always had issues with my crust but this was the worst recipe I've ever tried. It was very unstable, when blind baking it lost all of it's shape and slid into a heap in my pie plate. I followed the recipe exactly so I don't know what happened, but I won't be using this recipe again. So I continue my search for the perfect pie crust recipe.

Chicken Cacciatore

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2011
My family enjoyed this very much. We used a bit of red wine for deglazing, and next time I might use less. It was too tomatoey for me, but I ate it anyway, it was so good. I served it with linguini, which my husband requested. He's not much of a rice person. Will definitely make this again, and add more chicken. We ran out too soon! Thanks for the submission.

Tuna Noodle Casserole II

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2011
Made this one evening when I didn't have a lot of time, and not only was it easy, but it was also delicious! This was the first time I had used crushed potato chips as a topping, as I had always thought that particular topping would be too salty. It was salty, but not overpoweringly so. Next time I make this dish I may try crushed cornflakes with maybe a bit of garlic and onion powder, along with more of the paprika. There are several possibilities for toppings, including panko with melted butter or crushed crispy onions.

We didn't care for this at all and I'm not even sure why, because we like all the ingredients individually. I guess it was just the way everything tasted all together. Go figure. Thanx anyway.

This dish is absolutely amazing. The second time I fixed it I couldn't remember the name, but everyone in the family knew what I meant: The PEPPER STUFF!! It is so easy and tasty. It just has a taste that makes my tongue giggle! Serve it with a lettuce and tomato salad and homemade french bread and a winner is had by all! Thanks so much for the submission.

This is ok. Its the same recipe that is on the back of the minute rice box minus the eggs. Tastes nothing like "takeout". Sorry I'll keep looking.
