Sara's Iced Coffee

Reviewed: May 25, 2013
Not bad, but here's another alternative. Save left over coffee and freeze it in ice cube trays, then your iced coffee won't get diluted. I didn't use sweetener or cream, used International Delight French vanilla for a touch of sweetness.

Turkey and Quinoa Meatloaf

Reviewed: May 25, 2013
This was so good! I didn't have tomato paste on hand, so I used ketchup. I'm always looking for ways to use quinoa - it gave this a nice flavor. I shaped it into a loaf and cooked it in a pan as suggested by a reviewer. I plan to make it again this week - ground turkey has been on sale.

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: May 25, 2013
These really were good! I added an additional egg as directed, and made my own bread crumbs in the food processor. I also dusted them with flour to help develop a crust and hold them together. My family prefers ground beef burgers, but these are a great change of pace. I'd like to try them on the grill, but I can see where they might fall apart. I liked them with the usual burger toppings.

Restaurant-Style Potato Salad

Reviewed: May 24, 2013
WOW!! This potato salad is like out of this world fantastic. I mixed the mayo mixture in a bowl without the pimentos (didn't have any) then the potatoes. Put in frig overnight and served at a cookout the next day. OMG it was good. Thanks Mary Ann Benzon

Stacey's Hamburger Seasoning

Reviewed: May 24, 2013
This mix is great for hamburgers. I mixed it up and put the burgers on the grill. Really simple and easy to do, also made extra seasoning to keep in a sealed container for future use. Thanks so much

Mexican Baked Fish

Reviewed: May 22, 2013
My picky family loved it. I did not have enough fish on hand so I used imitation crab leg meat. Worked out great. I did not get to try this but I will make this again.

Calico Slaw

Reviewed: May 22, 2013
We loved it--the simple dressing combined with the sweetness of the apples was delicious. I forgot to buy a green pepper, so I used red and yellow, and added some extra color with some chopped chives. This is fantastic with barbecue!

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: May 21, 2013
I've made this a few times and the first time I added carrots, celery, onion, and garlic per other reviewers' suggestions. However, after making it again I only added carrots and celery sauteed in a little reduced fat margarine. I used low fat Half 'n Half but 2% milk works just as well. It was so much better. This recipe DOES NOT need onion and definitely doesn't need garlic. They add flavors that do not mesh well with this recipe and I'm a huge onion and garlic fan. However the carrots and celery do. Keep it simple! Because I love wild rice I usually buy a small box and precook 1/2 cup of it before adding to the broth along with the fast cooking rice.

Quick Goat Cheese

Reviewed: May 21, 2013
First time making cheese at home. I was pleasantly surprised at the mild taste ( i didn't add the onions). I milk my goats and like the fresh milk, but have never cared for goat cheese. This tasted very good to me and I will make again and try different spice combinations.

Fluffy White Frosting

Reviewed: May 21, 2013
I followed the directions to the letter, but my icing turned out terrible. I didn't even try to ice anything with it as the consistency was more liquid than frosting. I'll give it another try eventually!

Sesame Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: May 20, 2013
I used raw broccoli and honey instead of sugar. Good flavor. Even better with cooked, cold brown rice - This distributed the flavor better. Next time I think I will add chopped walnuts on top.
