The oven temperature was too high, one side burned at 20 minutes, and the potatoes were cooked at that point. A full 35 minutes baking at 450 would have turned these fries into cinders. If I were to make again, I would reduce the oven temperature to 400 degrees F and just plan on cooking both sides at far less time. They certainly are easy enough to make, but this recipe's ingredients are pretty much like most other "baked" fries, no special seasonings, I do love baked sweet potato fries, and I'm sure with adjustments to both time and temperature, they would be fine.
