I always have dates at home. And I make this recipe for years now. So, I ended up taking some for coworkers and keep it on my table in a jar. If the jar is empty, they push me for a re-fill … I don’t use butter or eggs, vanilla or sugar. I also don’t use heat… I knead the chopped dates with olive oil, add double the (here called for) rice crisps (I run of cereal a lot so I use digestive crackers instead). Oil my hand, shape then roll in: coconut flakes, roasted sesame seeds, chopped nuts “pistachio works great as a garnish on a candy tray”, crushed chocolate chips or chocolate cereal. Amazing result u get!!
