Pigs in a Blanket

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2015
I make these for a fun dinner night and serve them with Pork & Beans... Instead of using pre made biscuits, substitute with Bisquick Gluten free (follow the biscuit recipe). Also include 1 cup of finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese with onion and garlic powder. (approximately) 1 teaspoon of each to the dough. Preheat the oven to 350 and spray the baking sheet with canola oil. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes and serve with a Sriracha ketchup sauce for dipping. Pork and Beans on the side. Sriracha Ketchup sauce: 1 cup of ketchup and 1/4 cup of sriracha hot sauce, mix and I suggest serving the dip at room temperature or warm for 30 to 45 seconds on medium power in the microwave . We prefer to dip a warm item into a warm sauce. Pork and Beans: 1 slice of bacon cooked well and break up into small pieces, 1/2 of small onion finely diced and saute in with the bacon until tender, add 1, 16 ounce can of pork and beans (used Publix brand) and add 1/4 cup of BBQ sauce (used Sweet Baby Rays). You wont be disappointed!

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2012
This is a staple classic for our family. Like other's in reviews I added Italian seasoning to the flour and only used marsala wine ( doubling it) (omitting the sherry) I doubled the mushrooms and added a whole medium sized sweet sliced onion as well as fresh minced garlic when adding the fresh sliced mushrooms. I tripled the amount of sauce and thickened it with a can of cream of chicken soup and a few teaspoons of the left over flour. I served it over garlic mashed potatoes and a side of steamed yellow squash. My family went gaga over this recipe, Thanks for sharing!

Beef Stew III

Reviewed: May 9, 2011
Very basic. So I added chopped celery and sliced zucchini and squash with the potatoes and tripled the onion and carrots. I sirred the beef in canola oil and flour then put the contents into my crock pot with 1 can creamed celery soup and 2 cans of water and added 1 8 oz can tomato pure and 2 cloves minced garlic , pinch of fresh oregano and 2 fresh leaves basil. I cooked this on high for 5 hours then added veggies for the last few hours. Made drop cheddar cheese and herb biscuits and served with room temperature butter, Not like Grammies, but very yummy : )
