Soft Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2014
Great recipe, wonderful flavor and texture. Very easy to make (used my mixer) and makes 15 nicely sized dinner rolls.

Sriracha Scrambled Eggs

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2014
Yum! Made these for breakfast today and I used lactose free whole milk. I also added in some diced tomatoes, peppers, onion, parsley and a little cheddar cheese, then rolled it all up in a whole grain tortilla. Delicious!

Easy Sriracha Noodles

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2014
My girls and I made this for a quick lunch. We had some leftover chicken cutlets and broccoli that we chopped up and added in. Gave it a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese to finish. Only changes from the actual recipe were I used olive oil as I don't use peanut oil and I added some fresh garlic. Good recipe you can play around with!

Cheese Tortellini Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2014
This was really tasty! We split the recipe into two portions and to one we added the artichokes (Only had one jar on hand) and to the other half we used pickled banana peppers instead. Simple and easy! Be sure to use a good quality sharp provolone cheese.

Thin Spaghetti with Garlic, Red Pepper and Olive Oil

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2014
This recipe is pretty much the way my Italian MIL taught me to make it. I used fresh parsley and a bit of basil from my garden and my garlic I preferred minced. Quick and simple and so delicious!?#?AllstarsBarilla?

Baked Ziti with Cheese

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2014
This was just OK for my gang. My 14yo daughter made this by herself and it was certainly easy enough and uncomplicated. She boiled the pasta then placed it in a baking dish. Using the same pot from the pasta she made the Bechamel sauce in it. Rather than dirty another pot she heated the milk in the measuring cup in the microwave. She did add garlic and some pesto she found in the fridge to bump up the flavor along with crushed red pepper. The pasta baked very nicely and was cheesy but the main thought from everyone was they did not like the "jarred sauce essence" and were left wishing it had some ricotta mixed in. No one left the table hungry but we won't likely make again.

Grilled Tequila-Lime Shrimp

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2014
This was a no go for us. All we could taste was the lime. We used fresh garlic but the flavors were bland due to the overwhelming lime.

Fettuccini Carbonara

Reviewed: May 14, 2014
Did not like the way the pasta completely clumped together. The sauce was not light and creamy. Family liked the flavor but not so much the dry texture. Was (almost) a nice side for some grilled steak in place of a plain old baked potato.

Rich Chocolate Truffle Pie

Reviewed: May 14, 2014
Kids thought this was great! Light and fluffy but a bit sweet for me. Will try with dark chocolate chips next time. Best to make a full day ahead of serving so the pie fully sets.

Jan's Carrot Soup - Vegan and Dairy-Free

Reviewed: May 2, 2014
I always make this for our Easter dinner and while preparing it this year I went to use the sweet potato only to find that it was unusable. I made a substitution of about 1 cup pre cooked, leftover, brown rice. It added a nice thickness to the soup. I still missed the sweet potato silkiness but thought I'd share a good substitute in a pinch.

Jan's Jalapeno Popper Pizza

Reviewed: May 2, 2014
As the submitter of this recipe I want to clarify that PREPARED PIZZA DOUGH PASTRY is raw dough you buy at your grocery store. You can use pre baked crust such as Boboli but watch your bake time. Be sure to also use the large, 16 inch size, prepared crust. If you can only find the smaller size then divide the topping between two pizza crusts.

Salt and Pepper Skillet Fries

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2014
I made these in my cast iron skillet and used a full tablespoon of butter. They were wonderful! I had a rare evening with just 3 of us to cook for and this was easy enough. I don't think I would make this for the whole family (7 of us and teenagers who eat like there is no tomorrow) as it would take a lot of time standing at the stove working in batches.

Grandma's Ham

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2014
Never made a ham this way before but certainly would make it again. The ham was not dry and the sweetness balanced the salty nature of the ham that we are not overly fond of to begin with.
