I had a career in my late teens through mid twenties as a professional chef in a number of restaurants. Las Vegas and Denver were my best learning experiences. Since then it's been family and get together cooking.
My favorite things to cook
I really enjoy making things up. But I especially enjoy interesting and complicated recipes. Great fun mixing things up the next time.
My favorite family cooking traditions
New Years at my brothers house. This last year we both tackled a big dinner and I've not had that much fun in long time.
My cooking triumphs
Any time I come up with something that my whole family will eat with relish (not the pickles :)
My cooking tragedies
oh, an eight layer torte cake I tried making form a birthday. I messed up on the amount of sugar and had to remake the cake. Took till 11:00 pm.
