About this Cook
I found All Recipes a few years ago and just love it. Anytime I need to cook something new, I come here and look up the recipe for it. I'm married and have 4 sons. My sons are almost grown and gone now. They are 24, 21, 16 and 15 y/o. Also, I'm a register nurse for 18 yrs. I'm in a good place in my life right now. I think age has helped me to appreciate the many little blessings life has given me. Life is good.
My favorite things to cook
Our favorite family meal is spaghetti and garlic bread.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I'm the daughter of three great cooks, my mom, and two grandmothers. Each one, had their unique way of cooking. I lost all of them in my mid thirties. I lost them, during a time in my life, when I was very busy with raising my sons and working as a nurse. Because, I lost them as a young adult, I didn't take the time to get their recipes and write them down. All Recipes has helped me to find these wonderful recipes.
My cooking triumphs
I consider myself an average cook. I not able to just add a dash here and a handful there. I need to follow a recipe to cook. So far, my family loves my cooking.

Marinated Vegetable Salad
My family loves this salad. Its a great addition to any meal. I love taking it to work ralated functions and family gatherings. So easy to prepare the night before.

Baked Ziti I
I've been making this recipe for about 3 months. My family loves it!!! I use the "Best Marinara Sauce Yet" from this web site and ricotta cheese, instead of the jar sauce and provolone. So Good!!! Thanks for sharing.

Best Marinara Sauce Yet
This was my first time to make a real marinara sauce. It's perfect for my spaghetti, Ziti and pizza dishes. I triple the recipe and freeze the rest. Also, I make it the day before and let it set over night in the refrigerator. So easy to make!!! Thanks for sharing.
