Baked Kale Chips

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
This is definitely a healthy alternative to potato chips. I tossed in olive oil and sprinkled with sea salt. Mine were ready at 10 minutes, nice and crispy. Just don't expect to be able to dip them in anything, they are fragile. Next time I will try with sesame oil instead of olive to mix it up.

Wonderful Short Ribs

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2010
This was very tasty! I followed a few suggestions by searing the short ribs on all sides first, removed from pan, sauteed the onions in the drippings and deglazed with 3/4 cup red wine. Then followed recipe as is. Served over pasta. Will make again!

Very tasty and easy to put together! I made a 2lb. pork shoulder roast in my crockpot for 5 1/2 hours. I doubled the garlic and taco seasoning, halved the other ingredients. Meat shredded easily!

Easy Cheese and Garlic Scones

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2009
These were tasty! I did admittedly change some of the recipe per another reviewers suggestion. I used AP flour with 1 1/2 tbsp of baking powder instead of self-rising flour. I doubled the cheese and tripled the butter. I should have also added more garlic. Flavor and consistency were very good. Baked for 20 minutes and came out slightly dry, will decrease the amount of time next time.

Flavor was very good. Didn't love the texture, but they are a nice healthy alternative to normal breakfast muffins.

Gnocchi I

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2009
Turned out pretty good, although I will probably add less flour next time (almost added the full 2 cups). Time consuming, but worth it if you like gnocchi.

Creamy Italian White Bean Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2009
This was very tasty! I did make some slight changes based on other suggestions. I used all chicken broth, substituted parsley for the thyme (don't like thyme), and drizzled my serving with a little olive oil. I would make this again!

Ragu Bolognese

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2008
I halved the recipe and wish I hadn't so I had more leftovers! Delicious and exactly what I was looking for. I did change a few things per other suggestions. I only used beef (that's all I had) and infused the meat/veggie mix with about a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar, white wine, a little beef broth and the milk. I let that boil down and then added the tomato sauce and the rest of the broth. Definitely let it simmer the amount of time given. Will make again!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2008
Delicious! Followed directions as stated, with the exception of adding 1 tsp of cinnamon. Turned out beautifully for my first attempt at making apple pie. Used the "Best Ever Pie Crust" from this site. Will definitely be making for the holidays.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2008
This recipe is great! Didn't measure out ingredients exactly and it came out great. I used more garlic, but didn't have time to roast it. I'm sure roasting the garlic would be a good addition. I took the advice of other reviews and bought the garlic alfredo sauce. Will definitely make again!

Awesome Baked Sea Scallops

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2006
Very tasty recipe. I cut down the garlic to two cloves and still felt it was too overpowering due to the short baking time. Served with orzo pasta tossed with sauteed asparagus, mushrooms, garlic and parmesan cheese.

Great flavor and easy to make! Gave fours stars because I had to make some adjustments to thicken it up. I pureed an extra can of beans as well as using corn starch mixed in a little liquid.
