About this Cook
I like to cook and I like to eat. I love cooking for others. I enjoy hiking, driving, driving to great hiking spots, reading, Photoshopping and spending time with my husband and my animals.
My favorite things to cook
I love making ethnic dishes especially Italian, Chinese and Japanese. Of course, anything with sage is awesome.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mothers side of the family is of Greek descent. If you've never tried greek desserts, you are missing out on some really great food! I love my Grandma's baklava and my Aunt Tula's kalouria (sp?).
My cooking triumphs
Easter dinner 2004, I managed to have everything done on time and at roughly the same time. I made all the dishes except dessert and everything tasted fantastic!
My cooking tragedies
I was starting to experiment with different ingredients. I made a vegetable stew for a man I had just started dating. It turned out awful!!! Fortunately, he must have had faith I would get better since we are now married and he loves my cooking.

Mini Meatloaves
This was a great recipe. I made it as is, with only the addition of onion (as one reviewer stated, it's not meatloaf without). I also let the oatmeal sit in the milk for a few minutes as suggested and baked them in muffin pans. I got 11 meatloavies. Thanks for sharing!

BLT Salad
I got rave reviews when I made this for a family get together and I make it occasionally for my husband and myself.

Cream Peas
I made this for Easter dinner, since my husband was raised on creamed peas and carrots. I just added carrots and everyone, including his mother, was asking me for the recipe. I actually was able to make this before everyone got there then reheat it before serving.
