Garlic Green Beans

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2012
Stovetop green bean dish to keep your ovens free for other dishes; many compliments! Also did 3tbs butter and 1tbs oil (instead of the reverse): browned the butter, sauteed the garlic a minute or two until brown, added the bit of olive oil and beans to heat, also a little Parmesan to melt into the beans, dumped it in a serving dish, topped with a little more Parmesan. Tasted amazing! Thanks; this is a keeper!

So good! Yes, a bit soggy, but definitely a good flavor that gets frequently requested.

Baked French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2010
I loved it! I used a variation (6 eggs, all half-and-half) and it was great, but I think the original would have been even better. My biggest problem was squeezing the bread into a 9x13; next time, I'm going to use two smaller pans so all the slices keep their nice shape. VERY RICH! And if kids aren't used to 'egg' tastes in their french toast, they might complain (even with 6 eggs), but I ADORED the flavor and wished I'd used all 8 eggs.

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Very nice no-mushroom recipe! I substituted the butter for bacon grease, and later added the crunched up bacon into the mix. VERY impressive recipe!
