Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2009
MM MM GOOD. Gr8 recipe, one I will make again and again. I used a cream of Chicken & Mushroom for the base, 3 large frozen chicken breast, covered with water and added a large chicken bouillon cube. Seasoned with parsley, salt & pepper, dried minced onion & garlic. Cooked high for about 3.5 hrs. Added a can of corn, frozen peas & carrots, and added the can of biscuits, continued cooking for 90 min. Shredded my chicken, but before adding it back to the crock pot I thickened the broth up with some cornstarch and water. It was so good and Yummy. Only thing I would do different next time is make my own drop dumplings, as someone else posted here the dumplings are more like a noodle then a true dumpling. Other then that it was all good and worth the 5 stars. After a afternoon in the rain at the pumpkin patch this was such a comfort to come home to.

Easy Chicken Tetrazzini

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2009
Boy this dish made a lot of food, but unfortunately it was not a hit with my family. We've never had chicken tetrazzini so wanted to try something new. Looks like were more of a marinara sauce kind of family. We found this to be bland, and ended up with a lot of wasted left over food.

Made this on a night I didn't feel like cooking and I was pleasantly surprised how good and simple it was. I'll make again when I need something quick, cheap, easy, & good.

Hash Brown Casserole II

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2009
This is so good and tasty..my family thinks it's Excellent. I didn't have the cornflakes so made it without, also only half the sour cream, and 3 tbls of butter. Still fantastic, in the future I will make it with the cornflakes to see what were missing.

Hazel's Meatballs

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2009
My family loved these meatballs, they were so tasty. I cut the recipe in half since we didn't need 40 meatballs, and used bread crumbs in place of the crackers. I will be making these again real soon.

The Best Meatballs You'll Ever Have

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2009
I really liked these meatballs. They were a bit hot/spicy. Next time I will tone that down a bit. My husband and daughter did not like them as much as I. If they were rating I think they would go for a 3.

Easiest Pot Roast Ever

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2009
This was excellent. Made just a few changes to use what I had on hand. Instead of water I used 2 cups French onion Broth and poured this over the roast. Didn't use celery, but used celery salt, and misc other seasoning to season the meat. I didn't have bouillon cubes, but did have the beef broth powder so I sprinkled this over the roast. I had no Fresh onion, but dried diced onion, and Garlic..So used this both in place of fresh..End results were a perfect roast, I'd say one of my best. This recipe can easily be modified and still taste delicious.

Hamburger Soup I

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2008
This soup was pretty tasty. I added a can of Kidney Bean's, and kicked up the heat with some red pepper chili flakes. I also cooked up about a 1/2 cup dried elbow noodles, and added those to the soup when the soup completed cooking. My husband added a bit of chedder to the top of his soup, and we served it with corn bread.

Meatball Sandwich

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2008
This was great, instead of buying on big French baguette, I bought a bag of french sandwich rolls. The only thing I'll change for next time is either make my own sauce, or buy a much better sauce.

Rice-so-Nice

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2008
This was ok. I made it two different way's one in my rice cooker with a can of the french onion soup. The other I made in the the oven with a Onion Soup packet. All agreed, The oven rice came out much better, it was far more flavorful. The only problem I had with my oven rice, was the bottom stuck to the pan. The rice in the rice cooker still came out pretty good, just a bit more bland. I dont know if I'll be making it again..My husband didn't care for the onion soup flavoring.

Quick Cheeseburger Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2007
We enjoyed this recipe, but I only gave it 4 stars because it was a bit to meaty for my taste. We made the crust per the directions, and it was wonderful. With everything on hand this is a pretty easy meal to prepare. If I make this recipe in the future I'll cut down on the meat, and add a bit more veggies. Enjoy.

Cottage Cheese Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
This is my 2nd time reviewing this recipe, and it is so good. Did as others suggested and made the Chicken in the crock pot. I also changed it up a bit by layering everything(2 layers) instead of rolling the tortillas, and it made a wonderful enchilada casserole. So good and easy, by far one of our favorites. This is an excellent recipe. My family loved eating this, it also make's great leftover's. First time I did this recipe I used Hamburger, so this recipe is pretty easy to swap around. Enjoy

Hamburger Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2007
Very good recipe. At first I was concerned cause it seemed a bit sweet with the Pork&Beans..But It was so very good. I didn't follow the recipe to the tee, in place of the water I used beef broth. I didn't use potatoes, but used frozen pea's and carrots & frozen corn. I also added Elbow noodles. No tomatoe soup, but in its place stew tomatoes, and a can of tomatoe sauce. I browned my meat with dried minced garlic & Onion. Anyway the hamburger stew makes a excellent base soup, and give's you your own options of add in's. I also wanted to note here that I made mine in the slow cooker.
