Bada Bing Pork Chops

This just became one of my favorite dishes to make on a grill. So delicious, so moist, so flavorful. The recipe is spot-on.

Amazing! I thought I had a good pumpkin bread recipe before but this one is even better! My new go-to pumpkin bread recipe.

Roasted Butternut Squash Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2011
My husband who loves soup says this recipe is a keeper! It was really not too complicated to make and came out rich and creamy. However, my experience was 2 cups of raw squash was not nearly enough to produce the 1.5 cups reserve the recipe calls for at the end of the first step. I had to go back mid-way into my cooking to cut up and cook an additional 3 cups of raw squash to achieve the 1.5 cups reserve. This was almost an entire medium-small butternut squash. Other than that one necessary modification I followed the recipe exactly, and would recommend it to others.

Apple Almond Crunch Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2011
Love this salad. I used a bag of Dole Seven Lettuce blend, a Granny Smith apple, and Girard's Light Raspberry Vinaigrette. I made it just as the recipe states and thought it was sweet and delicious. While I think you could change some of the ingredients to match what you have on hand (ex: exchange Craisins for golden raisins) it is absolutely not necessary to achieve a great salad. I will definitely be making this again.

Robbi's M&M Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2011
Made the recipe as is stated, using butter flavored shortening instead of actual butter (as many other reviewers suggested). We loved them! They were tasty, delicious, and easy. This recipe will be a keeper!

White Wine Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
I cooked this soup exactly as stated. I boiled it at first and then simmered it for six hours. It definitely filled the house with a wonderful aroma all day while it cooked! The flavor was good but we thought maybe too mellow. It needed a kick of something added to the flavor. I think I'll keep this recipe because it did taste good and I like the variety of veggies in the soup. My husband, however, said it was average and that I should keep looking for a better chicken soup recipe.

Buffalo Chicken Wings I

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2011
We love these wings! They're our new favorite - even better than what we get at most restaurants! A couple of tips that helped us: the longer you simmer the sauce the spicier it gets. So if you like hotter wings, let the sauce simmer for 30 minutes or longer. Second, my husband likes his buffalo wings crispy, not soggy. To achieve that, he fries the wings separately in a deep fryer, then sets them aside in a bowl. Once the sauce has finished simmering, he pours the sauce over the wings in the bowl and mixes the wings around to coat evenly. It produces crispy and tasty wings every time.

French Toast Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2011
I didn't really like this recipe. I made it exactly as it, baked for 50 minutes, and everything other than the top was soggy. I felt like I served my family soggy french toast. If it would've baked through fully, I think it would've been great. But I think I'll just stick to regular french toast for now.

Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2010
This was delicious! I served this at my Fourth of July family get-together and everyone gave it rave reviews - there wasn't any left by the end of our BBQ. I baked it at 400 degrees and used 4 tablespoons of cornstarch. I also brushed the inside of the crust with egg whites to prevent sogginess, brushed the lattice work and crust edge with butter and sprinkled them with sugar, and covered the edges with aluminum foil until the last 10 minutes of baking. The pie came out perfect with a golden brown color, the blueberry filling just barely spilling out of each piece but mostly holding its shape. It was just so sweet - so delectable! I will definitely be making this again.

Chicken and Biscuit Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2009
I made this recipe using exactly what was specified here, and was very disappointed. I agree with others who have given it a low rating - a lot of prep work for a dish that doesn't deliver any degree of wow. My husband, who loves chicken pot pie, didn't even finish his plate. When I asked him if I should make it again, he said no. I have to agree with him. It was bland and the basil was definitely too much for our taste.
