Slow Cooker Tipsy Chicken

Reviewed: May 1, 2011
Excellent! I changed it some according to the reviews. I didn't use the butter, only used one can of soup, used a little less wine (and it was red), added artichoke hearts and carrots. Awesome! Served with noodles since that was faster to cook - just threw them into the crockpot the last 15 minutes or so.

This was absolutely wonderful! I didn't have raisins so did without, and added a few fresh mushrooms I had on hand. Will most definitely make this often!

Hmmm, just so so. The blue cheese (which we normally love) was overpowering.

Flat Iron Steak with Mushrooms

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2011
Very easy, fast, and delicious! I used round steak, so it cooked quickly, and onions instead of shallots. I also followed other recommendations and used more wine and less vinegar. Definitely will make again!

Mini Ham Quiches

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2010
These are awesome! I was a little worried after I followed one reviewer's suggestion to mix the butter and baking mix prior to mixing in the liquids. I had very lumpy egg/baking mixture but it worked out great. Instead of ham I used dried venison, and instead of olives used chopped fresh spinach. I cut the butter down a little and next time will cut it even more. I also used just eggs white, and substitued evaporated milk for the half and half. Very easy and delicious and I can't wait to make them again. I bet these would be great made in large quantities and frozen.

Chicken or Turkey Tetrazzini Deluxe

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2010
Very good - I wouldn't exactly call it tetrazzini as it wasn't very creamy but it was a very good casserole. We used whole wheat pasta and extra peas.

Cauliflower Cheese Soup II

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2010
Mmmm, comfort food at its best. I added the buillion cube as suggested. I didn't peel the potatoes and that was fine. The mushrooms were great. We will definitely make again!

Cranberry Pecan Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2010
Mmmmm, these are wonderful. I made a few changes - used non fat plain Greek yogurt instead of sour cream, and half Splenda for part of the sugar. Next time I'm going to use half butter, half fruit puree for the fat. We made these in dark pans with no paper liners, and the sugar carmelized a little in the bottom and that was AWESOME!. Can't wait to make again (probably won't be able to wait more than a couple days. :) )

Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2010
Hmm, interesting. Way easy to make, but so rich, not like other kiss cookies I've made. But, for a quick recipe, this fit the bill. flavor was very good, just too rich.

Turkey Bow Tie Skillet

Good comfort food. I made a lot of alterations (used chopped turkey instead of ground, used fresh chopped tomatoes, threw in some fresh basil and omitted vinegar and sugar). We really enjoyed.

Tomato-Basil Zucchini

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2010
Yum yum yum! This is a great alternative to my standard 'don't know what to do with the zucchini so just saute it with onion' recipe. Perfect flavor, excellent blend of veggies! Only change i made was to add some sliced mushrooms.

Wow-I'm not a cheesecake fan but made these for a party. I didn't do the extra raspberries on top but these are amazingly easy and got great reviews. Will definitely make again.

Cheddar Flat Bread

Yum. I made several alterations (used half rye flour, muenster cheese, reduced the amount of melted butter for the top) and it was quite tasty as a flat dipping bread for chicken tikka. Will definitely make again.
