Easy Morning Glory Muffins

Moist and delicious! I substituted applesauce for half the oil and added a pinch of nutmeg. I put the raisins in a bowl of water for one minute in the microwave to soften them. I had enough batter for 18 muffins, which I baked for 25-26 minutes. I'm sure I'll make these again. My family loved them.

Italian Cheese Bread

I didn't have pepperjack cheese, so I substituted Monterey Jack cheese and added 2 tablespoons diced peperoncini. The bread came out very good; nice texture and just enough cheesy taste. My family enjoyed it.

Cran-Orange Bran Muffins

I used Dannon Light n Fit vanilla yogurt and All-Bran cereal. I substituted 1 tablespoon orange extract for the zest. I made 10 jumbo muffins. They were done in about 23 minutes. Very moist and nice flavor.

Lemon Raspberry Jumbo Muffins

Delicious! I divided the batter in half before adding the fruit and added a generous 1/2 cup of frozen blueberries/raspberries to each half, so I made 4 blueberry and 4 raspberry jumbo muffins. I filled the cups to almost the top, and they had a nice high dome. I love the lemon flavor, and the muffins were very moist. Great recipe!

Ultimate Twice Baked Potatoes

I used 6 medium potatoes, which I baked in the microwave for about 14 minutes. I increased the salt to 1 tsp. They came out great; very creamy and delicious. The only thing I would do differently is to reduce the amount of sour cream to 3/4 cup and use more than half of the cheese and onion in the filling and less on top, because there was so much, it was hard to get it to stay on the potatoes. Great recipe!

Amish White Bread

I cut the recipe in half (12 servings) and made it in my bread machine. It came out great. It rose very nicely, the texture was perfect, and it had a good, slightly-sweet taste. This recipe is a definite keeper.

Ground Turkey Noodle Bake

I made a double recipe in a 10x14-inch pan, and my family liked it. It tasted like turkey lasagna. I added a teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of pepper to the turkey mixture, and I sauteed the garlic with the turkey and onion instead of adding it to the sauce. I also used 1 cup of milk instead of the powdered milk and water.

Gary's Turkey Burritos

These were very good, but needed spicing up. I added 1/2 teaspoon of salt and a tablespoon of both cumin and chili powder to the meat mixture. I used Rotel tomatoes instead of tomato sauce. I didn't use as much sour cream, but I increased the cheese to over a cup. I had enough filling for 7 burritos. My family loved these, so I'm sure I'll be making them again.

Strawberry Pie

I made this as directed, except I stirred the strawberries into the Jell-O mixture before pouring into the pie shell. It tasted more like strawberry Jell-O in a pie shell (which was kind of weird) than a strawberry pie. It would have been much better without the Jell-O. I feel it was a waste of fresh strawberries because the Jell-O taste overpowered the strawberries.

Wave Your Flag Cheesecake

I made as directed, but I baked my own pound cake from scratch. I would give this recipe 5 stars for appearance, but only 1 or 2 for taste. The Jell-O layer just didn't seem to go well with the other layers. I think pudding would have been a better choice for that layer.

BBQ Bacon Ranch Dip

Chicken Fiesta Salad

This salad was just so-so. It wasn't spicy enough for my tastes, and it was definitely too dry. It needs some sort of dressing. On the positive side, it does look very colorful and appetizing, and was easy to prepare. I think it's just missing something.

No Bake Cookies III

These came out excellent. My family can't stop eating them! I followed the recipe exactly, but I spooned them onto a large silicone mat instead of wax paper. I did make sure to boil the mixture hard for one minute, and they set up perfectly. The best part is that they're somewhat more nutritious than most cookies, and they're gluten-free.

Lite Coconut Cake

Delicious! I made this for Memorial Day in my checkerboard cake pans. I added a tablespoon of coconut extract to the cake mix for added coconut flavor. The frosting and filling were very light, and I liked the tang from the sour cream.

Strawberry Coffee Cake

I followed the recipe exactly, except I used frozen strawberries, which I thawed. The topping seemed dry and powdery when I put it on the cake, but it baked up beautifully. My husband and son-in-law devoured almost 3/4 of the cake in about 15 minutes. I guess that speaks for itself.

Banana Split Cake

I wasn't very impressed with this dessert. It basically tastes like banana cream pie with pineapple in it. I used only 4 bananas, which I sliced and dipped in the pineapple juice, and didn't use any on top. I also used only 3/4 cup chopped pecans, which was plenty. This dessert isn't bad, but it's nothing special, so I probably won't make it again. There are many other dessert recipes that use instant pudding, cream cheese and Cool Whip that are much better.

Ricotta Bread

I made a double recipe in my bread machine and it came out perfect. It has a very nice texture and slightly sweet taste. Homemade bread usually gets stale quickly, but I made it 5 days ago, and it's still very fresh. This recipe is a keeper!

Buster Bar Dessert

Excellent! I made this for Easter and everyone loved it. It tasted very similar to a DQ Peanut Buster Parfait, which was always one of my favorites. I agree with other reviewers that it could have been a little fudgier. I didn't put Cool Whip on top, because I didn't think it was necessary and wouldn't be appetizing frozen. I'm sure I'll make this again, especially in the summer.

Sweetened Condensed Milk

PERFECT! I'll never buy canned sweetened condensed milk again! PLEASE NOTE: Several reviewers seem to be confused as to how much this recipe makes. I measured the amount myself after making it. THIS RECIPE MAKES 1-1/4 CUP, WHICH IS THE EXACT AMOUNT THAT IS IN A 14-OUNCE CAN. The can is measured in weight, not fluid ounces.
