Truck-Stop Buttermilk Pancakes

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2006
I've been trying pancake recipes for ages to find one that rivals the plate size pancakes at Cracker Barrel. This is just what I was looking for! Thank you for the recipe.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2006
This is a perfect rich moist pumpkin bread. I made it in mini loaves for teachers/neighbors/friends this year. It got rave reviews. When using mini loaf pans, this recipe makes 8 loaves. Do not overfill the pans or you will have spill over. I only had 6 pans so my family enjoyed the leftover batter as pumpkin muffins.

Broccoli Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2005
This tasted fine and got compliments at Christmas dinner. I found it too fluffy and I still prefer the denser recipes. I like the recipes where you don't pre-cook the minute rice.

This is on our current rotation. Our whole family loves it. Not too saucy or too dry, but just right!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

You have done the impossible: topped my grandmothers roast beef! This is my go-to recipe for roast beef now. So easy and so delicious. The gravy is such an added bonus.

Amusement Park Cornbread

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2005
I make this cornbread at least once a week. Just finished a slice with chicken noodle soup. It is not grainy or dry like the "from the mix" cornbread. It is cake-y and delicious! A true family favorite!

Slow Cooker Pizza

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2005
This was a HUGE hit with my husband and children. My husband said it tasted just like his mothers homemade deep-dish pizza. He has been searching for that taste for years. Thank you for the recipe.

Husband's Delight

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2005
It truly did appeal to my husband and sons(7 & 3). They ate it right up, along with all of the leftovers. I made a small ramikin of it without tomatoes for my youngest son and it tasted just as good as the mixture with the tomatoes.

Mall Pretzels

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2005
I had to try this recipe twice before I got it right. The first time I added the flour to the wet ingredients. It was just a soup. The second time I added the wet ingredients to the flour by making a well in the flour. Make sure your water is the right temperature for dissolving the yeast. I twisted my pretzels instead of trying to make them into pretzel shapes. They came out great!

New York Cheesecake II

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2005
This was my first attempt at cheesecake. It came out great! I used the tips for making cheesecake off of this site. I let the cream cheese come to room temperature and then I whipped it separately before I added the other ingredients. I used the recipe "graham crackers" off of this site for the crust which came out perfectly. We don't have to go to the Cheesecake Factory anymore to enjoy rich, delicious cheesecake. Thank you!

Snicky Snackies

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2005
I brought these snacks to a party, and they were a big hit. My family fought over who got the leftovers. (This recipe makes A LOT!) I sprayed the waxed paper with butter flavored Pam and then I sprayed two butter knives with the Pam and started to separate the mixture with the knives as soon as it came out of the oven. Very easy and very fun.

I gave this recipe a 5 star review because it makes an AWESOME cheesecake crust. My children like to eat them just as crackers, and everyone likes the crusts they make.

This is our favorite tuna casserole. The fried onions make this recipe stand out from all of the others. We wouldn't make it any other way now.

Slow Cooker Chicken Creole

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2005
The only change I made was that I threw in about a half a pound of leftover breakfast sausage patties. I tossed them into the food processor with the onion, peppers and celery. I cooked it on low for 6.5 hours in a 6 quart slow cooker. I paired this with amusement park corn bread. It was a wonderful meal!
