Caramel Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2011
WOW! these are great bars. Very addicting, I made mine in a 9x9 pan and they were not too thick, don't know how they would be in a 9x13. Will try these again!

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2011
This is my new standby for taco seasoning, I always have all the ingredients on hand, no added sodium like the packets of seasoning. I used crushed habanero peppers instead of the crushed red pepper flakes, was very spicy!! Overall the best taco seasoning you can make! Try it you won't be dissapointed.

Easy Homemade Beef and Ricotta Ravioli

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2011
This was "The Best" ravioli that our family has ever had! It does take a little bit of time to put together, but was worth the time. We made the recipe as written, I wouldn't change a thing. We made the dough in my food processor and it turned out wonderful. I would recommend this recipe to anyone that wants to try ravioli, my boys are meat eaters and if I were to make cheese ravioli, they would be asking for the meat sauce, with the beef in the ravioli, they were satisfied. It still is a delicate pasta, try it you won't be dissappointed.

Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2010
This is the first time that I have tried to make a pecan pie, it is so easy and looks great when it is done. I substituted ameretto for the burbon, and put the chocolate chips in the bottom of the pie crust. Will be making this again and again for Thanksgiving, as well as our church bazzar.

Artesian Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2010
This bread has the flavor of the high end bread shops, but you make it in your own kitchen. Good chewy crust, wonderful flavor. Can add anything you want to the bread, roasted garlic, sundried tomatoes etc. I really have fun playing with this recipe.

Meatball Nirvana

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2010
These are the best tasting meatballs we have ever eaten!!! We followed the recipe as written and used a large cookie scoop to keep them equal shaped. The kids loved to roll them into a ball. They had tons of flavor, next time I might try to cook them in sauce for spaghetti and meatballs. However you use these you will not be dissapointed!! Great recipe.

Grilled Bacon Jalapeno Wraps

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2008
We have been making these for years. The one thing that we do different is mix equal parts cream cheese and shredded cheddar to stuff them. We have also frozen them and used them when we are grilling in the winter. They work great! Just pull them out when you light the grill and they are ready to go when the grill is hot.

Microwave Popcorn

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2008
This is my new favorite snack. I found that it took 2 minutes to cook mine, all microwaves are different. At 2 minutes there are quite a few kernels left unpoped but any longer and the corn burns. You just have to adjust to your microwave. It beats the boughten kind hands down!!! We add garlic salt or lawreys seasoned salt to ours. A great use for those 200+ lunch sacks that I had to buy for 1 or 2 being used. Great recipe! I always love to find the homemade way to do something.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2007
These are the BEST ginger cookies I have ever made. I used to have to travel 80 miles to a bakery to get something close to these. Even my 4 kids love these with a little icing on the top. These are in my recipe box for good.

Simple Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2006
This is absolutly the best whole wheat recipe I have made. I did add vital wheat gluten to make a better crumb and make it last longer. 1 T per 1 cup flour. I also used all whole wheat flour. This would be great with sunflower seeds, oatmeal and flax seed in it. I have made this 3 times in 2 weeks, my family loves it. Great recipe.

Miracle Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2006
FLAVOR!! This tastes like hot and sour soup but with lots of veggies. So many different flavors with the ginger and vinegar, soy sauce. YUM!! Using the fresh ginger really makes a difference. Try straw mushrooms in a can for a more chinese flair. This is an excellent recipe for dieters and anyone else!!

Baked Potato Soup I

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2006
This is a very easy and good potato soup. It does get a little thick, just add some more milk to thin it down. Great way to use up leftover potatoes.

BLT Wraps

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2005
Like others in the reviews I used precooked bacon chunks. The recipe seems so simple that it couldn't be good, but I was suprised. We warm the cheese and bacon on the tortilla before adding the lettuce and tomato. Also added a bit of ranch dressing to take the place of mayo. We will make this again for a easy lunch.

WONDERFUL!!! The corn has a slight spicy flavor, potatoes were a little overdone, will remove them before the shrimp are added next time. This is our favorite way to cook shrimp now!

Fresh Salsa I

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2004
this salsa is a hit. Every where I take it I'm asked for the recipe. I even use the pickled jalapenos when I just want to throw this together fast and it has great taste. Also can vary the hotness by using different hotness of rotel. The best and easiest salsa I've ever made. Often told that it is better than the salsa you get in authentic mexican resturants! Note: At the end of the summer I pick all of my jalapenos that I have in the garden and char them in the oven, then just pop them in the freezer and they are ready for the winter.

Fourth of July Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2004
This is what potato salad is supposed to taste like. The vinegar bath gives the little tang that potato salad needs. I make it a day ahead to let the flavors blend.

Spaghetti Pizza Lasagna

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2003
I make this for suppers in the field durring harvest for my husband and all the men that help. It goes over great with them. The only thing that I didn't like is that the cheese gets to crusty on the top. I would sprinkle it on with 10 minutes left to bake.
