About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
BBQ! I am a grilled steak of any sort master! And a marinade hint? STUBB'S MARINADES!! All of them are the best and soy sauce works wonders. Their BBQ sauces and basting stuff is awesome. I am glad I found that product because all other marinades I've tried never just made the meat taste any good on or off the grill. I also like to try new things that I haven't cooked before.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Always a turkey, Prime rib or ham on the holidays. I prefer the first two ;)
My cooking triumphs
Anytime I cook something that people like. I make a mean stroganoff, lasagna, taco soup, hot wings, ribs, chicken parm and the most awesome grilled steaks!
My cooking tragedies
Cooking white rice for a stir fry for the next day. Sat down to surf the net and forgot about the rice until 20 minutes later when it was black on the bottom, half way up the pan. No fried rice the next day. I have also tried many slow cooker pot roast recipes and find that the meat is always dry. :/

Rhubarb and Strawberry Pie
This pie sure was pretty but as a first time strawberry rhubarb pie maker, I didn't know you are supposed to boil the rhubarb first and the directions do not even mention it. I took it to work and the rhubarb was crunchy! I would boil it or something before making the filling because we all had to pick it out if the pie.

Colorado Green Chili (Chile Verde)
I like this, the boyfriend REALLY liked it. We're having leftovers tomorrow. I put in 2 cups broth and it was still extremely liquidy like soup though. And the cubed meat we bought was cubed pork chops, not the best... Pork shoulder cut into cubes would have been 100% better but I bought what my grocery store offered that I could make in a timely manner, on a weeknight. To make it the best, it would have taken a lot longer and I didn't have that kind of time tonight. I will try again with pork shoulder. Thank you.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies
Great flavor but we like em a little less fluffy. They are chewy, which we like! Thanks!
