Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2011
Absolutely delicious! Besides the onion soup mix, I added cajun seasoning & poultry seasoning (because we like our turkeys REALLY seasoned). No one could believe I'd cooked it in the crock pot and everyone was amazed at how much "juice" was left for making gravy - which also turned out great. I'll be cooking our turkey breasts like this from now on!

Cucumber Melon Salsa

Reviewed: May 17, 2012
We thought this was Fabulous! Served it over a spicy-grilled white fish and it was the perfect accompaniment. Word to the wise - this makes A LOT! So unless you're feeding a crowd, consider halving the recipe.

Three-Meat Stromboli

Reviewed: May 17, 2012
Delicious! I added roasted red pepper to two of them, which was nice. Also I accidentally used a parm/romano blend and I think it may have actually enhanced the flavor. This one will definitely stay in my recipe box for future gatherings!

Black Beans, Corn, and Yellow Rice

Very good & quite easy. I added more water - I'm sure it depends on exactly which "mix" you choose - but this went really well with our spicy grilled fish & salsa.

Meatball Nirvana

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2012
O-M-G!!! I'm seriously kicking myself for not trying these sooner! True meatball perfection! I tripled the recipe and I was using 1/2 ground beef and 1/2 ground venison, so I added a little plain yogurt to the mix and they turned out Fantastic!!! I also used dried minced onion per submitter's recommendation. I will never try another meatball recipe. Thank you, LTH!

Holy Guacamole! These are yummy! I love that they're only 70 calories (not that that helps when I eat 12, but who's counting?) Couldn't be easier. I'm making another batch later in the week so hubby can try them. These will be gone today for sure!

Tangy Mustard

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2012
FANTASTIC!!!! Like others, I had to order the Oriental seeds, but that was easy enough. I too couldn't believe how much of the vinegar they were able to absorb! Who knew making mustard was so easy?!?! I've shared it with friends & family and we keep a jar in the office fridge - everyone Loves it! And "tangy" is the perfect description. Thank you, pelicangal!!! This recipe is SO a keeper!

Squash Stuffing Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2012
We really enjoyed this! It was super easy and the sweetness of the squash made a nice compliment to the somewhat spicy chicken we had. I did use Cream of Chicken and Mushroom, but only because that's what I had in the pantry but I'm sure either would be just as good. Also, I was afraid it would be too "bready", but it really was not. It was a nice change from our regular sides, and I will surely be making it again.

Pot Roast Dips

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2012
Fantastic! I have to admit, I didn't have the highest of expectations. Just tasting the meat I kept thinking it needed something, but couldn't decide what. I was wrong! Once this was shredded I put it back in the juice to cook for a couple more hours. I toasted a hoagie roll, added a little mayo & spicy mustard, then the meat & cheese - popped it back in the oven just to melt cheese - then a little lettuce & tomato. Added a little bowl of the jus for dipping. WOW! The result was one fabulous sandwich! Loved, Loved, Loved it! One note: This cut makes definitely has a lot of fat. So be SURE to remove as much as you can when shredding the meat AND definitely chill and remove the floating fat or use a fat-separating pitcher then pour the jus back over the meat.

All Day Venison Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2012
This was really good! I used venison tenderloin which was cut into large chunks. I misread the ingredients and only had regular beef broth (not condensed) so I used 3/4c broth and added two boullion cubes + the 1/4c water called for. It had a stroganoff-type flavor, so we served it over egg noodles, but it would be great with potatoes or rice as well. Thank you, Erin A! This is a keeper and a great way to use our wild game. If you like a lot of gravy, I'd consider doubling that part - a lot of it had soaked up by the next day's lunch.

Chicken Tikka Masala

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2011
O-M-G-ravy!!! This is some good stuff! Other than cutting the salt (1 t in marinade & 1 t in sauce) and using dried cilatnro (about 1 T) in sauce rather than fresh at the end, I followed recipe exactly. No, not true, I pan fried my chicken, because rain prevented me from grilling. This was de-lish-ous!!!! Loved the kick from the jalapeno & cayenne! Exactly what I was hoping for. This is a KEEPER! Thanks, Yakuta!!

Whole Grain Spaghetti with Cherry Tomatoes, Marinated Chicken Breast and Pesto

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2014
This was great! I had already marinated & grilled chicken breasts with garlic & herbs the night before, so this came together in no time! I'd never tried whole grain pasta & to be honest, I couldn't taste any difference (Yay, Barilla!). This dish will be made many more times in our house.
