Alligator Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2010
Awesome, Doug! I used 2 cans of diced tomatoes in place of crushed because that's what was on hand. Served it at "Wild Game Day" - not a single bit left!!! We'll do this again for sure!

Wild Duck Gumbo

Great! I added some chicken because I didn't have enough duck & used venison smoked sausage. Added a little cajun seasoning for kick. It was delicious!

Dirty Diapers

Yummy! Added onion soup mix & water (per other reviewers) then mixed cheese with meat. I did cut the triangles in two per the recipe. Tasted like little burgers. Great for game day and I WILL be making them again. Thanks!

Twice-Baked Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2010
I have to admit, I was a little "iffy" about the green pepper beforehand. Used 1/2 a red onion, chopped, most of a bell pepper, even soy milk in the mashed potatoes. The guys (and me) devoured this! Thanks so much!

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

All I can say is Well Worth the Wait! DH wanted to grill the chickens and I flat out said, "No. I want to make them by the recipe." He won't ask again. Mine took longer, but the birds were about 5lbs. each. Made gravy from pan drippings. WOW! Really just the yummiest and most tender chicken ever! Absolutely a keeper!

Jet Swirl Pizza Appetizers

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2010
Yum! These were so good! Microwaved pepperoni for a few seconds, used pepper-jack & mozz (that's what I had on hand). Added Italian seasoning, sprayed outside lightly with olive oil & sprinkled w/ Italian seasoning & parmeson. Really good! No dipping sauce needed. Thanks!

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2010
De-Lish! I used spicy smoked sausage which I ground in the food processor only because I needed to use it up - that gave it an extra kick. We LOVED it! This will definitely go into our regular rotation! Thanks!!

Frozen Mocha Cheesecake Loaf

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2010
Really yummy! I replaced the whipped cream with cool-whip for DH's sake. Probably will do it in a casserole dish next time with just two layers, only because it was a pain working with the crumb mixture in the loaf pan. Definitely a keeper!

Take Out-Fake Out Pollo Con Crema

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2010
De-lish! made just as written. Can't wait for leftovers tonight! Thanks, tat! Update - Had to come back after leftovers. Still good, but there's something kind of "sweet" about it that I can't put my finger on. All I can figure is from the peppers. May try with one red and one green next time.

Ground Venison Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2010
I'm not reviewing the spread, because I didn't get around to that. The burgers were truly tender & gorgeous. I usually have to add hamburger to the venison to get that. Loved the addition of the jalapeno - I'd prefer more seasoning in the meat itself, that's how we like them and will add more next time, but the yogurt really did the trick to combat the dry, falling apart venison burgers we always had before. This is a keeper! Thank you, Jerry!!

Cindy's Beef Tips

After browning the meat & onions in the skillet, I combined everything in the slow cooker (just because I had lots of time to kill). Turned out Delish! Gravy was really wonderful. True comfort food. Thanks, Cindy!

Great recipe, WW! I doubled it and added two seeded & chpped jalapenos. It was the first and only thing cleaned out at our Memorial Day gathering! Can't wait to make it again - and LOTS of requests for the recipe. Awesome!

Simple Carnitas

Holy Guacamole! This is some fine stuff! Just kicking myself that I waited so long to make it! Only change was to cook it in my slow cooker - recipe exactly as written. Smelled fabulous and tasted even better! Made Mexican Rice II (Using broth from this) and Refried Beans w/out the Refry. Had it for breakfast, lunch and dinner over the last couple of days! And told DH I'd be content to eat it every meal from here on out!YUMMY!!! Thanks, Ken!

Refried Beans Without the Refry

Really good beans. Mine definitely needed more than 8 hours to get good & soft, but that could just be my slow cooker. Excellent recipe!

Maria's Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: May 24, 2010
Absolutely delish! I pounded the breast & rolled them around stuffing. Only changes were I upped the garlic (We love it) and threw in a few chopped & sauteed mushrooms & some parmesan. Served over buttered angel hair with parsley and reserved the remaining spinach mixture to make this again, which I most certainly WILL be doing!!!
