Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2013
This is a good base recipe but on the bland side. I made it as instructed then ended up doctoring it up for more flavor.

Best Butternut Squash Soup Ever

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2012
This is very good and easy to make. I rate it 4 stars as is but tweaked it further AFTER I tasted it. To make it 5 stars in my book, I added some ground ginger and a few more cloves of roasted garlic.

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
This was pretty good but I would make changes next time. Pros: Easy to make and good Cons: Very salty if you follow the recipe Since some of the other reviewers commented this is very salty I used half the recommendation on the ranch dressing since that's salty as well. It was still too salty for my taste and next time, I'll make my own wing sauce to control the salt level. Overall, I did enjoy it and will make again. I don't like people reviewing recipes with their own versions but I'll be guilty of that here. I made smaller portion - cooked 2 frozen chicken breasts, used a little less of the dry ranch dressing, cooked on high for 5 hours, and skipped the butter since that's already in the wing sauce. It was shredding it by pressing each chicken piecs with a potato masher (works perfectly with no work)! I served it on a toasted hoagie roll with provolone and topped it with cole slaw (made with pre-packaged slaw cabbage mix and tossed with blue cheese dressing), and of course carrot and celery sticks on a side.

Curried Honey Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2011
Delicious! I followed others recommendations and tweaked it to suit my taste but it is very yummy and I'll be making it again. Change suggestions: 2tbs butter, 2 tbs olive oil, 1/4 honey, 1/2 djion, 2tbsp curry, 1 pinch cayenne, 1 pinch cumin. I added 1/2 red onion and cut up 5 mushrooms into the pan and cooked them with the chicken. So good!

Oven Roasted Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2010
My husband (who isn't a big cook) made this as a side dish and it was delicious! We used idaho potatoes that were looking a little old and this was the perfect way to use them up.

Roasted Beets with Feta

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2010
This was delicious and simple! I usually like beet salad with goat cheese and candided walnuts but this recipe worked really well.

Best Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2010
I made this for dinner tonight and it was delicious! I had some minimal modifications but I don't think they would have changed the flavor of the original dish too much. 1) I made half the recipe but it was still huge and could feed 6! 2) I followed everyone's recommendation to add some milk 3) added chopped fresh mushrooms, celery, and carrots since we like veggies 4) I used cream of mushroom with roasted garlic since I didn't have the plain mushroom handy. 5) misread the recipe and mixed the cheese in with everything instead of using it as the topping. Eazy recipe and I highly recommend it!

Cheesecake Cookie Cups

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2010
This is very simple and has great presentation. I tried it yesterday since we were hosting and it was a big hit. I gave it 4 stars because is way too sweet for my liking and there's no way to tone down the sweetness. I thought the cherry topping would be too much so I topped with whipped greek yogurt and topped with fresh blueberries, blackberry, and strawberry. It looked nice and made it a bit "healthier."
