Green Bean Sesame Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
Excellent! I used less olive oil as I wanted a lighter feel and added some ginger for a nice asian kick to go with the sesame seeds. Very tasty and light side dish.

Caramelized-Onion Pork

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
Excellent! I changed the recipe a bit based on our preferences but the original sounds excellent as well. I had boneless pork chops so I cooked them stovetop in the same pan as the onions, putting them in the pan towards the end. After I removed the pork and onions from the pan, I deglazed with a bit of apple juice and butter and poured directly over the onion smothered pork. So good!

Last Minute Mushrooms

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
I love sauteed mushrooms! I added a bit of white cooking wine, parsley and a dash of balsamic vinegar (at the end). Very tasty!

Thai Spiced Barbecue Shrimp

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2008
It was pretty good. I followed the recipe exactly and once I tasted it, I felt that it needed a little more curry and a tad less dijon. Just a personal preference and still very good. I will make again with the slight changes. I put the shrimp over coconut-cilantro rice. Very good.

Balsamic Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2008
Great potatoes! I followed the ingredients exactly but cooked a tiny bit different. I wound up cooking for 30 minutes at 450 since I had something else in the oven that needed to be at 450. I stirred the potatoes every 10 minutes or so. After the 30 minutes I added balsamic and cooked for another 5 minutes. These were perfect! I might try just a tad less balsamic next time to see if that might make a great recipe just a bit better.

Fra Diavolo Sauce With Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2008
Quote from hubby "tastiest pasta dish you have ever made." I think that says plenty. I did as some things that others suggested like mushrooms, capers, and red wine. Very very good.

Acorn Squash

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2008
Fabulous! Based on other reviews I added bacon and put the cut side up for 60 minutes at 350 with all the stuff already inside. Even the hubby who doesn't like squash said to make this again!

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2008
Very good but just a bit too much garlic. Next time I make I will reduce the garlic a bit.

Szechwan Shrimp

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2008
This was excellent! I wound up using crab since I had a bag opened that I needed to use. I was trying to make a light lunch so I put this over a bed of salad like you would a scoop of tuna salad. It made a very good lunch.

Baked Asparagus with Balsamic Butter Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2008
Very good! The hubby thought the flavor was a bit too strong so I might try to mellow it out a little next time.

Cinnamon Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2008
This was a great recipe. I dipped the chicken in low fat butter prior to putting in the baking dish and seasoning in order to keep in moist. Very good.
