Used 2 oz mustard and real bacon. Hubs really liked but I thought it was just ok.

Slow Cooker Carnitas

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2014
Added Adobo seasoning to the top of the roast. Added a few drops of orange extract to the chicken broth. Added a few sprigs of cilantro around the roast. After cooking I pulled into large chunks then put on a cookie sheet and broiled until the edges crisped. Hubs said he liked this recipe better than any of the other carnitas recipes I've tried over the years!

Glazed Lemon Supreme Pound Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2013
This was seriously the hit of Thanksgiving! I did make a few tweaks based on some reviewer suggestions but I'm sure these was just the cherry on an amazing recipe. The changes I made are: Made it as a bundt cake. I did half a package of lemon jello and a whole package of lemon pudding. I added 1/4 cup of sour cream. I changed the nectar to a 10oz jar of Apricot Just Fruit spread in the jelly section. Right out of the oven, still in the pan, I poked holes with a skewer stick and used a basting brush to thoroughly glaze the bottom. Waited 20 minutes, flipped out of bundt and brushed the top of cake with glaze. Once completely cooled, I made a frosting of powdered sugar with a tad of milk, lemon extract and yellow food coloring and drizzle over the top. We couldn't taste the apricot but my husband said that the cake tasted so perfect, that I should include it again next time anyway just in case it altered the taste in any way.

Awesome! Didn't have shallots so used garlic powder and onion powder. Everyone, including the toddlers loved this one.

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2012
The whole family LOVED it but they all also agree that it should not have sugar in it next time. If it wasn't sweet and only had the tang, it would have been perfect.

Perfect Baked Jerk Chicken

Reviewed: May 15, 2012
This was very good! Not true hardcore jerk chicken, which is what I really liked about it. I did follow some other reviews and halved the salt and cinnamon. I made 1 1/2 times the recipe of the seasonings as it didn't seem like enough for my large chicken. Alot of reviews mentioned putting the oil in with the spices but the dry rub is part of what's great as it forms a wonderful crust. Put the dry rub on then let it sit in the fridge for a few hours to get a good seal. Perfect!

Bacon Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2012
This was really good! The hubs and the kids liked it too, which the boy usually doesn't like non-breaded chicken. I used chicken broth instead of beef, only because it's what I had. I'm intrigued by the thought of beef broth with chicken though. I stuffed it with a green apple and onion since that's what I had that I thought might be good in there. I chopped up the bacon and added it to the green bean side dish. Fabulous too. This was a juicy and flavorful chicken. I'll have to make again for sure.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2011
Very good but hubs and me both agreed that it was missing something. I even used the sage sausage as many others suggested. People at it at Thanksgiving but no one raved about it. I made exactly as stated except using the sage sausage.

Pecan Pie Bars I

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2011
These were soooo good! Made them for Thanksgiving and they were really well received by our guests. Made exactly as stated only I made in an 11x9 pan since that's what I had. I thought this size pan made them the perfect thickness.

Sweet and Spicy Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2011
Very good! Made this for my Thanksgiving table and liked it quite a bit. I made as stated with the exception of poultry seasoning. Many of the reviewers didn't seem to care for it and I didn't have time to test run this recipe before serving it to the large Thanksgiving group so I figured better safe than sorry.

This was very good. Made is with a can of Cream of Onion soup as I had never heard of it before and wanted to try but I'm sure Cream of Mushroom is good too. Made mashed potatoes and used this sauce as the gravy as well.

Beef Taco Skillet

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2011
Pretty good. Followed other reviewers suggestions and added taco seasoning and beans. Those additions made it more like Taco Dip than a type of enchilada casserole, which I'm guessing is more what Campbells was going for. I will try it without the beans for sure next time.

SOOOOO good! Used garlic powder because I didn't have garlic salt. Doubled the dry ingredients like many others suggested. Also baked for 60 minutes at 300 like others suggested.
